The Home Team Science and Technology Agency (HTX) was launched by Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong in Mediapolis.
The agency, with a staff of 1,300, is currently located at the headquarters of the Ministry of Home Affairs, near Novena.
Its mandate includes applied research in areas such as biometrics, intelligent sensors and robotics.
