by CNRS@ASEAN - published on

Antoine Petit, along with H.E. Marc Abensour, the French Ambassador to Singapore, has celebrated the 80th anniversary of the CNRS on two occasions: once in the Singaporean offices of CREATE, for the inauguration of the first international subsidiary of the CNRS; the other at the Residence of France.

Antoine Petit’s visit to Singapore in June 2019 is in line with the CNRS’ 80th anniversary.

In this context, he visited the premises of the CNRS representative office in ASEAN, located in the CREATE tower in Singapore. The latter, freshly relocated here, is now accompanied by the CNRS@Create office.
During the inauguration ceremony of the latter, Antoine Petit took the opportunity to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the CNRS. At this occasion, the chronological exhibition of the CNRS as well as that of the "New Worlds" (visible in the Parisian subway Montparnasse) were exhibited in the CREATE Gallery.

During the second celebration of the CNRS’ 80th anniversary, a reception at the RĂ©sidence de France, H.E. Marc Abensour, the French Ambassador to Singapore and Antoine Petit were accompanied by CNRS partners and representatives of the French research community. There was also mention of the French Lab, which seeks to bring French researchers together in Singapore.
