Founded in 1996, LE STUDIUM Loire Valley Institute for Advanced Studies aims to facilitate international exchange among public and private laboratories in the region Centre-Val de Loire, France, to increase research capacity, enhance scientific excellence and to promote mobility and career development of researchers.
To this end, through an annual call for projects LE STUDIUM finances :
Postdoctoral fellowships to attract experienced international researchers to
the region ; International scientific networking.
In parallel, LE STUDIUM organizes and coordinates numerous scientific events promoting interactions between regional and international scientific communities and transdisciplinary exchanges.
The program covers the researcher’s full salary for one year, his / her accommodation as well as all the administrative aspects related to the reception of the researcher and his / her family.
In addition, a budget is allocated for the organization of an international conference of two to three days.
