It aims at initiating a series of Symposia and Schools that will be held on alternate years in different countries, with themes each time chosen by the scientific committee, within the subject of Quantum Engineering Science and Technologies. The QuEST School is dedicated to welcoming graduate students to lectures by experts on a variety of topics in line with a chosen theme.

QuEST School 2018 will focus on the theme of "Quantum Technologies with Light" and will be held in Singapore on January 8-13, 2018.

Airfare will be subsidised and accommodations will be provided.

Timothy LIEW (Nanyang Technological University, Singapore)

Charles LIM (National University of Singapore, ECE, Singapore)

Alexander LING (National University of Singapore, CQT, MajuLab, Singapore)

Florian MARQUARDT (Max Planck Institute for the Science of Light, Erlangen, Germany)

Arno RAUSCHENBEUTEL (Vienna University of Technology, Austria)

Jean-Francois ROCH (Laboratoire Aimé Cotton-LAC, France)

Fabio SCIARRINO (Sapienza University of Rome, Italy)

QuEST School will cover 6 topics within the theme "Quantum Technologies with Light", with about 6-7 hours of lecture time per topic.

The covered topics will be :
- Chiral Quantum Optics (A. Rauschenbeutel)
- Integrated Photonics (F. Sciarrino)
- NV centers (J.-F. Roch)
- Optomechanics (F. Marquardt)
- Polaritonics (T. Liew)
- Quantum Communication with Light (A. Ling and C. Lim)

The precise schedule will be given later.

The abstracts for each lecture will be provided later.

The School will take place on the campus of NTU, at the Nanyang Executice Center (NEC), 60 Nanyang View, Singapore 639673.
