AUR@SIA symposium : bringing together research, society and industry

par CNRS@ASEAN - publié le , mis à jour le

In line with its interdisciplinary approach, CNRS wants to bring together its joint units in Asia and their respective CNRS institutes to foster dialogue and collaboration. The initiative builds on the experience of the units specialising on information sciences and engineering and systems sciences, who established the AUR@ network in 2010 (Association des Unités de Recherche en Asie).

Such a meeting provides an ideal venue for our Asian partners from academic and research institutions, as well as industry partners and private foundations, to join and participate in a high-level symposium on the challenges facing research, society and industry, and how the three can come together and overcome them.

Alain Fuchs, President of CNRS, will attend the meeting in parallel to his Lee Kuan Yew Distinguished Visitor Invitation. Directors of CNRS institutes will also participate in the symposium and meet with CNRS partners, among which :

  • Asian universities and research organisations such as :
    • AIST, NIMS, NII, the University of Tokyo, Keio University from Japan
    • NUS, NTU and A*STAR from Singapore
    • DST from India
  • Global companies such as Thales, Saint-Gobain, Solvay…
  • Private foundations such as the AXA Research Fund, sponsor of the event

A booklet presenting all CNRS units represented is available here :
