UMI 2954 MICA - Multimedia, Information, Communication & Applications, is an international research institute associating CNRS, Hanoi University of Science and Technology, and Grenoble INP.

The MICA Institute was established in 2002 as an international research center. It became an institute in September 2011 with the purpose of supporting and contributing to the development of information technology in Vietnam.
It is an international joint research unit of CNRS since 2006, primarily affiliated to INS2I (information sciences) with secondary affiliations to both INSHS (humanities and social sciences) and INSIS (engineering and systems).

Activities

  • Conducting high quality R&D activities in multimedia information technologies.
  • Participating in training Masters and PhD Students in the field of Multimedia Processing.
  • Developing multimedia and technology transfer applications.
  • Strengthening the relationship and linkage of the university activities to the socio-economic environment.
