How does a UMI work ?
An international joint lab (UMI) is :
- a joint laboratory with permanent CNRS staff
- located either in in France or abroad
- staffed by personnel from both CNRS and the partner country
- headed by a director, jointly appointed by CNRS and the partner institution
- created for a duration of 4 years, renewable twice.
