Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie

CNRS is also a member of AUF, a key player in the field of French-speaking academic cooperation.

The Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF) is an international association comprising universities, grandes écoles, academic networks and scientific research centers that use the French language all over the world. With a network of 804 members in 102 countries, it is one of the world’s largest higher education and research associations.
The AUF is also the specialist higher education and research agency for the Francophonie. As such, within its scope of competence, it implements resolutions adopted at conferences of heads of state and government of countries where French is spoken (Sommets de la Francophonie).

SEA-EU-NET

The SEA-EU-NET project which was funded by the European Union (FP7). It associated 21 partners from the EU and Southeast Asia and tackles societal challenges through S&T cooperation.
The project went through a second installment (2012-2016) and focused on Health, Food Safety and Security, Metrology, and Water Management. Bi-regional dialogues on these thematics and S&T policy were regularly held to allow the network to meet and expand.
CNRS was involved in several work packages and particpated in the pilot of a joint funding scheme.
